Our last Cru of the year will be Wednesday March 1st at 9pm.  We’ll be in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium.  Come out and help us send out our seniors well!  Eric Horne and Gus Lazcano will be speaking on what God has taught them during their time here at NIU!

To celebrate the end of the year we will have a picnic on reading day Friday May 3rd from 1-3:30!  Guys if you could bring a snack and girls please bring a dessert.  We will have volleyball, frisbee, and a football.  Bring anything else you would like to bring!

Tonight at 9 pm we will have our Welcome Week planning meeting in Lincoln Commons.  Welcome Week is extremely important in getting the word about Cru out to new students.  So come and bring your creative ideas!

Come join us for Big Break, our spring break conference in Panama City Beach, FL!

What is Big Break?  Big Break will give you the training and experience to share the gospel back on your college campus.  The beginning session is Sunday night. The Monday through Thursday morning sessions provide practical training on sharing the gospel. The afternoons offer the opportunity to practice sharing the gospel in Panama City Beach. The Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions provide worship, opportunities to share your afternoon experiences, and biblical teaching. Optional seminars will be offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. This year’s seminars will be on how to use EveryStudent.com to reach your campus.

When: Our spring break – March 9-16

Cost: $299  This covers the cost of your housing, all meetings, and materials. Food is not provided, but each condo has a full kitchen. There are grocery stores, a Walmart, and many restaurants nearby.  You will also need money for gas.

Calling all men!

Do you know what it means to be a man?  Are there manly things you want to know about but don’t yet?

Come to our first ever Stuff Guys Should Know!  We’ll talk about what it looks like to be a Biblical man through topics such as “How to study the Bible”, “Biblical Relationships”, “How to share your testimony” and more!  We are also going to cover manly topics such as “How to change a tire”, “Tools needed for fixing a house”, a guitar seminar and more!  We’ll also have downtime to have lots of fun!

When: Friday March 1st at 6pm – Saturday at noon

Where: TBA

Cost: $5 (covers breakfast on Saturday)

Eat supper (or dinner if you prefer) before you come on Friday night.  We will go out together for lunch on Saturday when we’re done.

We want to thank Crave and Athletes in Action for helping bring Jim Munroe and the Maze to NIU.  The illusions were crazy and Jim’s story is incredibly powerful.  By sharing his story, approximately 400 students were able to hear about the life changing power of the gospel!
