Jeremy and Heather Reddy
I have been married for 10 years to my wonderful wife, Heather. We have four children named Ethan, Sydney, Teagan, and Isley. I was born and raised in Holland, MI. I left home and went to school at Taylor University in Upland, IN where I received my BA in Psychology. College was a challenging time for me. I was searching for purpose and identity. I wanted my life to be significant, but I had no idea how to accomplish that. God changed my life when he opened my eyes to understand the enormity of his never-ending, unconditional love and grace towards me in Jesus. My life was on a path towards meaningless mediocrity when I was awoken to the person of Jesus. A friend began to help me read and understand the Bible, which led to me seeing and knowing the real Jesus. I was captured by the vision of participating in God’s work of redeeming the world through the gospel. That he would invite me to join him in this eternal work of redemption is quite humbling and astonishing. My greatest passion is that people would know and experience all that God offers us through the person and work of Jesus. If I was not on staff with Cru I would like to be an international super spy.

My freshman year of college at Ball State University I was searching for the meaning of life and for truth…and I found it! While I had grown up with some Christian influence in my life, it was during my freshman year at a Cru event, that I truly understood who Jesus is and what His life, death, and resurrection accomplished for me. It was the most beautiful thing I’d heard and what I had unknowingly been searching for, but in all the wrong places. I’m still growing and learning how this beautiful and life-changing love affects and restores all the broken areas of my life. My life isn’t perfect…but it is being made new. I love telling people about and seeing this message change the lives of those around me…that’s how I came to join staff! I love college students and I believe that God wants to use students today to impact the whole world!

I grew up in a Christian home and learned about Jesus from a very young age. It wasn’t until I went away to college that He captivated my heart and I started to grasp the Gospel and what that meant for my life. Ever since, I’ve had a passion for those in college who are trying to figure out the purpose of life. Joining staff with Cru seemed like an easy decision, because I have a passion for people and a passion for the Gospel.
I am from southern Indiana and told God once I graduated college that I would never move north. Little did I know
I’m still getting used to the six month long winters that DeKalb has to offer!
Favorite hobbies: Coffee shops, exercising, watching movies, playing with my nephew Davin, random adventures with friends
I feel loved the most when people: write a card with words of affirmation/encouragement, ask me intentional questions to get to know me, surprise me

When I first set foot on NIU’s campus as a freshman, I had no intention of being here two years after I graduated. My plan was to get my degree and teaching certificate in early childhood education, graduate, and move on to get the job I wanted to do since I was three. Surprise! God had some very different plans! During my time as a student at NIU, I got involved with Cru, through an invitation from my best friend. God used Cru to help me learn more about himself and experience more joy in following Jesus than I had ever thought possible, even though I had been active in church all my life. Jesus changed my heart in huge ways and I am passionate about helping others experience the same joy that I found in Him. My hobbies include sports (especially basketball and tennis), scrapbooking, and speaking Spanish. The place I would most like to visit in the U.S. is Colorado.

I am a first year intern from Ball State. I love my Cardinals, but I’m slowly being converted to a Huskie. I’m a die hard Cubs and Bears fan every year- true hope never dies!
